Tips to Perfect your Campsite profile:
Check out our Peak Portfolio sites here for some pointers.
Perfect the writing!
- The campsite name is key - Your site name needs to be descriptive. It should capture what makes your property special. But it should also be simple. 3-5 words is the sweet spot. Pick one word that best describes your property, a landmark nearby. Example: Lakeview Hideaway at Blue Vista or Retreat on the Crooked River
- The site headline should be descriptive and whimsical. Appearing just under your campsite name, the site headline is an important piece of copy that is typically 2-3 sentences long. This copy appears as the description of your campsite on sites like Google and also impacts the discoverability of your site in search. Example: Unique Catskill site in the White Lake Region - 2 Safari tents and a lake view less than 2 hours from NYC. Can accommodate large groups (up to 16 campers).
- Make the description as accurate as possible so a camper knows exactly what they are going to arrive at. Include all features of the property, local hot spots or nearby attractions, and amenities you offer. Highlight the best things about your campsite, your land, and your community. Make sure to say how far the nearest cities are for SEO purposes, for example, if your site is 2 hours from NYC make sure to put in the headline 'A beautiful camping hideaway 2 hours from NYC with a swimming hole' that way campers can easily find you from a quick google search! But keep it on the short side. Our target is between 300 or more words. Also, keep in mind that the first sentence is the most important. It should be captivating and make someone want to keep reading. Here are a few questions to help out...
