OTA stands for Online Travel Agency.
An OTA is a booking platform like Airbnb or Booking.com. These online platforms facilitate the promotion and booking of short-term rental properties - like Tentrr campsites.
Tentrr partners with these platforms to increase exposure and visibility to the Tentrr campsites. Potential guests book on these online platforms and through our software integrations are connected directly to you!
OTA Requirements
Before getting started as a host, please note that there are some basic requirements for Tentrr to be able to list your property with our OTA partners:
- Your property must have a verified address. Campers with a confirmed reservation should be able to just plug in your property address from their confirmation email into Google or Apple Maps and use GPS to find their way to your property. If that's the case, then we should be good to go!
- Your accommodation must have at least one bed.
- Please note that as of this time, only Signature campsites will be listed on Tentrr-affiliated OTA accounts.
- Depending on your location, your town or county may require permits before you can start operating as short-term rental host in your area. Additionally, certain platforms like Airbnb and VRBO require that listings have a permit number or Tax ID on file - the requirements will vary from location to location. During your onboarding, please make sure you give yourself enough time to get these requirements in order and submit them to Tentrr if necessary.
If you have any questions, please call (888) 798-9093, or email us at hello@tentrr.com, and we will be sure to help.
